Through class work and field training, students will learn first-hand what it takes to lead, motivate groups, overcome challenges, and succeed in a competitive environment. ETSU : Eddie Reed Ranger Challenge Team The Ranger Challenge, known as the varsity sport of Army ROTC, is a competition designed to challenge cadets both physically and mentally as well as enhance leader development and team cohesion. Each year, Ranger Challenge teams from Army ROTC units nationwide compete in a series of events, to include orienteering, constructing a one-rope bridge, and grenade assault.
